Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University and the Sidrap Regional Government Strengthen Vocational Education Synergy
Visit of Vocational Leadership and the Regent of Sidrap to the Unhas Sidrap Campus
Sidrap, April 5, 2025 — The Regent of Sidenreng Rappang, H. Syaharuddin Alrif, S.IP., M.M., visited the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Hasanuddin University's Sidrap Campus to strengthen the synergy between the Sidrap Regional Government and the vocational education institution. The delegation was welcomed by Unhas Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM(K), along with the dean and academic staff.
During a meeting in the main lobby, Regent Alrif reaffirmed the Sidrap Regional Government's commitment to supporting the development of vocational programs relevant to local development needs. *"This collaboration will strengthen human resource capacity in Sidrap, while ensuring that the vocational curriculum is able to address the challenges of the region's livestock and agricultural industries,"* he said.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ruslin welcomed the initiative and expressed the readiness of Unhas Faculty of Vocational Studies to carry out various collaborative activities, ranging from joint training to applied research. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the occasion, covering coordination mechanisms, training program development, and technical assistance for the community.
The Regent's visit is hoped to serve as a starting point for enhanced, ongoing cooperation between the Sidrap Regional Government and Hasanuddin University, in pursuit of vocational development that has a real impact on economic growth and community welfare.
