Unhas and the Sidrap Regional Government Commit to Developing Vocational Education Based on Regional Potential

Sidrap, May 6, 2026 — The Vocational Campus of Hasanuddin University, Sidenreng Rappang Regency (Sidrap), received a working visit by the Vice Rector for Planning, Development, and Finance of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Subehan, S.Si., M.Pharm.Sc., Ph.D., Apt., in order to review the readiness of facilities, infrastructure, and the quality of vocational education.

The delegation first visited the Mario Field, Kulo District, which serves as the practical training site for students of the Food Crop Production Technology Study Program, to directly observe the field learning facilities that support students' academic activities. The visit was also combined with a courtesy call to the Regent of Sidenreng Rappang, H. Syaharuddin Alrif, S.IP., M.M., as a form of strengthening the synergy between Hasanuddin University and the regional government in supporting the development of region-needs-based vocational education. This visit is part of Hasanuddin University's strategic effort to strengthen applied education, particularly in the fields of agriculture and Food Crop Production Technology in Sidrap Regency.

The visit continued at the Sidrap Vocational Campus, where Prof. Subehan, together with the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Restu, M.P., the Head of the Faculty of Vocational Studies' GPMPR, Dr. Ir. Agustina Abdullah, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng., the Head of the General Bureau, Drs. Jursum, M.M., and the rest of the delegation, directly inspected the condition of the academic facilities and learning environment used by students of the Sidrap Vocational Campus.
