Objectives and Targets

1. To enhance lecturers’ competencies in their respective fields of expertise, French language proficiency, and teaching and learning practices by encouraging and facilitating lecturers to pursue higher levels of education, take higher-level DELF examinations, participate in teaching and learning trainings, as well as competency enhancement trainings in the business and industrial sectors (DUDI), both within the internal scope of UNHAS and at institutions outside UNHAS; and by inviting guest lecturers/speakers with relevant competencies and qualifications, from within the country and from abroad.

2. To enhance students’ competitiveness in academic fields, French language competence, arts, sports, organizational activities, and entrepreneurship by encouraging and facilitating their participation in various competitions at the internal UNHAS level, as well as at national and international levels, and by facilitating their participation in various trainings organized by UNHAS or by external academic, artistic, sports, and entrepreneurial institutions. For language competence, the Study Program consistently provides short preparatory courses for the DELF examination. Organizational strengthening is encouraged by the Study Program through mentoring in various activities carried out by the French Literature Student Association (HIMPRA), as well as through student involvement in organizing committees for various national and international seminars.

3. To improve the quality of graduates through the standardization of French language proficiency at a minimum of B1 level by encouraging and facilitating students to obtain the DELF French language competency certificate; encouraging students to undertake independent internships or participate in internship programs from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology by recognizing and converting internship outcomes into academic credits (SKS); encouraging and facilitating students to participate in domestic exchange programs (MBKM) as well as international exchange programs (IISMA) facilitated by the Ministry or by other institutions, such as IFI; optimizing the use of project-based learning and case-based learning methods; and inviting practitioners with qualifications required by the world of work and relevant to the Study Program curriculum to teach through facilities provided by the Ministry or based on MOUs and MOAs with relevant partners.

4. To increase the number of scientific publications by lecturers and students through training in scientific writing; participation in research grants and group-based scientific article writing; the production of book chapters sponsored by the Study Program; and the organization of international-scale academic seminars.

5. To enhance cooperation/partnerships in the field of the Tri Dharma through educational institutions, industries, and national and international organizations by establishing and implementing MOUs and MOAs signed by the Rector of UNHAS and the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) as well as partner institutions.

6. To develop a curriculum that is accommodative to science and technology (SIPTEK) through tracer studies involving stakeholders, benchmarking—both directly and online—with similar study programs domestically and internationally, and by referring to relevant laws and binding regulations.
