INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON NATURAL PRODUCT CHEMISTRY
International Seminar on Natural Product Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Hasanuddin University organized the International Seminar on Natural Product Chemistry (ISNPC 2025) on September 11–12, 2025, at Unhas Hotel and Convention. This international seminar carried the theme “Natural Resources Biotechnology: From Local to Global for Sustainable Life” and served as a forum for experts, researchers, and academics to discuss the role of natural product chemistry in supporting sustainable development. The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., Rector of Hasanuddin University, who in his remarks emphasized the importance of scientific collaboration and research innovation in addressing global challenges through the utilization of natural resources.
The main session of the seminar featured distinguished keynote speakers, including Prof. Dr. Nunuk Hariani Soekamto, M.S. (Hasanuddin University), Prof. Dr. Jalifah Latip (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), Prof. Teruna J. Siahaan, Ph.D. (University of Kansas, United States), Dr. Tan Lik Tong (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), and Prof. Muhammad Aswad, M.Si., Ph.D., Apt. (Hasanuddin University). The event was also supported by various industry and academic partners, including Buchi, Dynatech, Batuwaris Dinamika, Kromtekindo Utama, Waters, GeneCraft Labs, HKI, Intralab, and Wiralab. ISNPC 2025 served as an important platform for knowledge exchange, strengthening research networks, and fostering innovation in natural product chemistry, while also highlighting Indonesia’s contribution to advancing research and sustainable development at the global level.
