Takalar State Senior High School 3 Gains New Insights Through a Workshop and Socialization of the Use of Virtual Laboratories

Takalar, December 1, 2023 — The Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) successfully held a workshop and outreach program on the use of virtual laboratories at SMA Negeri 3 Takalar. The event was attended by a community service team led by the Head of the Chemistry Department, FMIPA Unhas, Dr. St. Fauziah, M.Si.

The arrival of the community service team from Unhas was warmly welcomed by the principal of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar, Ilham, S.Pd., M.Pd. In his remarks, Ilham expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts between the university and the high school, which are expected to improve the quality of education at SMA Negeri 3 Takalar.

The workshop provided a platform for Dr. St. Fauziah to share her knowledge and experience on the use of virtual laboratories in chemistry learning. Dr. St. Fauziah emphasized the importance of technology integration in education, especially in today's digital era.

The event also featured a presentation by Dr. Herlina Rasyid, S.Si., who thoroughly discussed the benefits of using virtual laboratories for teachers, students, and schools. Dr. Herlina Rasyid explains how this technology can improve students' understanding of chemical concepts in a practical way without the need for expensive and complex physical equipment.
