Hasanuddin University Strengthens Measurement of Graduate Learning Achievements (CPL) through Workshop Batch II in 2026

Makassar, August 27, 2026

Makassar - Hasanuddin University once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of higher education by holding the 2026 Batch II Workshop on Filling and Measuring Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) for Study Programs at Hasanuddin University. Held on August 27, 2026, at the Ballroom of Unhas Hotel & Convention, Makassar, this event served as a strategic step in supporting the improvement of learning quality while strengthening the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum across all study programs.

The workshop was attended by 400 participants, consisting of faculty leaders, heads of study programs, lecturers, education staff, and quality assurance managers from various work units within Hasanuddin University. Through this event, participants gained a deeper understanding of the process of filling in, measuring, analyzing, and utilizing CPL data as an important part of the higher education quality assurance system.

In the OBE concept, graduate learning outcomes are the main indicators describing the competencies students must possess upon completing their education. Therefore, accurate and structured measurement of CPL becomes an essential instrument to ensure that the learning process runs effectively and is able to produce graduates who are excellent, adaptive, and aligned with the needs of the workforce and the development of knowledge.

The workshop featured various discussion and practical sessions focused on developing CPL achievement indicators, data collection and processing techniques, and interpreting measurement results as a basis for improving curricula and the learning process. With a systematic, data-driven approach, study programs are expected to conduct continuous evaluation to improve graduate quality and institutional competitiveness.

The participation of the Master's Program in Data Science also contributed to the success of this event. The involvement of the Head of the Master's Program in Data Science, Prof. Sri Astuti Thamrin, Ph.D., Deputy Lecturer of the Data Science Study Program, Dr. Eng. Supri Bin Hj Amir, and Study Program Administrative Staff, Muhammad Fadli, reflects the commitment of the Master's Program in Data Science to supporting the strengthening of academic quality culture and the sustainable implementation of OBE at Hasanuddin University.

The implementation of this workshop is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. Specifically, this event supports SDG 4: Quality Education through efforts to improve learning quality and strengthen the system for evaluating educational outcomes. In addition, this event supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals as it involves collaboration among various stakeholders in building an integrated quality assurance system. In the long term, improving the quality of higher education also contributes to SDG 1: No Poverty, as quality education is an essential foundation for enhancing human resource capacity, expanding employment opportunities, and promoting community welfare.

Through the 2026 Batch II Workshop on Filling and Measuring CPL for Study Programs at Hasanuddin University, Hasanuddin University continues to strengthen its culture of quality and outcome-based education governance. This event is expected to encourage the creation of competent, innovative, and globally competitive graduates, while further affirming the role of higher education institutions in supporting sustainable development and national progress.
