Advancing Research Insights: Department of Physics FMIPA Unhas Conducts Colloquium with Prominent Professors

MAKASSAR, PHYSICS.FMIPA.UNHAS.AC.ID – To foster academic dialogue and deepen understanding of contemporary physics research, the Laboratory of Theoretical and Computational Physics, Department of Physics, FMIPA Universitas Hasanuddin, successfully hosted a Scientific Colloquium. The academic event took place on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 08:00 to 11:30 WITA, at the Department of Physics Meeting Room, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar.
The colloquium featured two prominent professors as keynote speakers, delivering deep insights into two crucial topics:
Topic 1: "Modeling of Physical Systems as a Foundation in Technological Design" delivered comprehensively by Prof. Ir. Jamrud Aminuddin, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D, emphasizing the importance of mathematical and physical modeling approaches before implementing them into applied technological innovations.
Topic 2: "Nonlinear Dynamics and Complex Systems in Physics" presented by Prof. Dr. rer-nat. Wira Bahari Nurdin, which explored challenging nonlinear phenomena and how complex system patterns are analyzed theoretically and computationally.
The event, hosted by the Laboratory of Theoretical and Computational Physics, concluded with a group photo session. Through this regular colloquium, the Department of Physics FMIPA Unhas continues its commitment to strengthening the academic atmosphere and supporting the downstreaming of theoretical physics into real-world technological applications.
