Vision
To become an outstanding maritime-based History Education Institution in Southeast Asia by 2025.

Mission
The Department of History, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, carries out the following missions in the implementation of higher education:

1. To improve the quality and competence of human resources in conducting education, research, and community service activities.

2. To develop curricula and learning tools based on Student-Centered Learning (SCL) supported by information technology.

3. To create a conducive academic atmosphere through the availability of facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of the university’s three pillars (education, research, and community service).

4. To conduct research on Indonesian History, particularly Maritime History, in order to strengthen national integration.

5. To promote the dissemination of cultural and historical knowledge to help address current national issues through community service activities.
