Established on 3 December 1960 , the English Department is
dedicated to developing graduates with strong academic
competence, critical thinking skills, and global perspectives
through the integrated study of Literature, Linguistics, and English
Education. The department is supported by 24 academic staff
members, comprising 8 professors, 5 associate or assistant
professors, and 11 lecturers, who are actively engaged in teaching,
research, and community service. In recognition of its academic
quality and institutional excellence, the English Department
obtained international accreditation from ASEAN University
Network - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) in 2020 and achieved the
highest level of national accreditation (Excellent accreditation)
recognized by BAN-PT in 2025, affirming its strong commitment to
quality assurance and continuous improvement at both national
and international levels.
