“Celebrating Dedication, Welcoming New Leadership”
The activity “Celebrating Dedication, Welcoming New Leadership” was a communal agenda organized by the Department of English Literature as a form of appreciation for the service and contributions of lecturers who have entered retirement, as well as a moment of transition in the leadership of the Department of English Literature. This activity served as a space for reflection on a long journey of academic dedication that has significantly contributed to the development of scholarship, education, and the character of the academic community. On this occasion, the position of Head of the Department of English Literature was officially transferred from Prof. Nasmilah, Ph.D. to Dr. Sitti Sahraeny. The event was also accompanied by the farewell ceremony for retired lecturers, namely Dr. Abidin Pammu, M.Hum., Marleny Radjuni, and Dr. Sukmawaty, M.Hum., as a form of appreciation for their dedication and service in carrying out the tridharma of higher education. In addition, the event was attended by representatives of the family of the late Dr. Karmila Mokoginta, M.Hum., who passed away while undertaking the Umrah pilgrimage, as an expression of respect, prayers, and solidarity from the academic community in honoring her contributions and cherished memory within the Department of English Literature.
