HASANUDDIN UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF JAPANESE LITERATURE HISTORY
Hasanuddin University's Department of Japanese Literature's was constructed as an innovation of Hasanuddin University's Literature Faculty of Associate degrees of Tourism (Now as Faculty of Cultural Sciences). This department was officially established on September 28th 2005 and has become the 8th field of studies inside of Hasanuddin University's Faculty of Cultural Sciences.
The Principles of Department of Japanese Literature was officially accepted by the Ministry of Education and Culture with the release of Decree No.3157/DIT/2005. Department of Japanese Culture was first lead by the Head of Department Mrs. Margriet Moka Lappia, S.S., M.S. when it first began operating, Department of Japanese Culture was helped by contract lecturers and with the cooperation by Silver Expert JICA (Ms. Ohata) to help run the process of lectures. In the First year, Department of Japanese Culture received over 30 students. The amount of Applicants for this Study Program increases each year. The amount Applicants for this Study Program is the second of the biggest after the Study Program of English Culture
In 2022, The Japanese Culture study program has the eligibility of the certification by AUN-QA (Asean University Network-Quality Assurance). In 2024, this Study Program has reached Excellent Accreditation based by the decree that is published by National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (NAAHE), Number 560/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/II/2024 and applies since February 27th 2024 until August 8th 2028.
Up until now, Department of Japanese Culture has graduated over 250 bachelors. The Alumni's field of work has served over many sectors including educational institutions, government institutions, research and development institutions, and industrial institutions that spreads both in and outside of the nation.
