Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program Holds Academic Dialogue and MBKM Program Socialization
Gowa, July 28, 2022 – The Undergraduate Program in Environmental Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin, organized an Academic Dialogue and Socialization of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the CSA Building, 1st Floor. The event aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of academic policies and the implementation of the MBKM Program to support competency development and enhance learning experiences.

The event commenced with an opening address and presentation by Dr.Eng. Muralia Hustim, S.T., M.T., Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of preparing students to face future professional challenges by taking advantage of innovative learning opportunities offered through the MBKM Program. He also encouraged students to actively participate in academic and extracurricular activities that support their personal and professional development.
The second session was delivered by Dr.Eng. Asiyanthi T. Lando, S.T., M.T., Secretary of the Department of Environmental Engineering. She explained the implementation of the MBKM Program, including the registration procedures, eligibility requirements, credit transfer mechanism, and the various learning activities available outside the study program that can be recognized as part of the academic curriculum. The program also featured a presentation by Rasdiana Zakaria, S.T., M.T., a lecturer in the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program. She highlighted the significance of the MBKM Program in enhancing students' competencies, broadening their learning experiences, and preparing them for future careers through practical and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

The discussion session was moderated by Nurul Masyiah Rani Harusi, S.T., M.Eng., who facilitated an interactive dialogue between the speakers and participants. During the session, students actively raised questions and shared their perspectives regarding academic matters and the implementation of the MBKM Program.
Through this activity, the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program expects students to gain a better understanding of academic policies and maximize the opportunities offered by the MBKM Program to strengthen their academic competence, professional skills, and readiness to meet future challenges.
