Nanda, Food Agribusiness Student at Hasanuddin University, Wins First Place in the 2026 Region IX Pilmapres for Diploma Category
A proud achievement has come from the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University. Andi Nanda Nur Amriani FMB, a student of the Food Agribusiness Study Program, has won First Place in the 2026 Region IX Outstanding Student Selection, or Pilmapres, for the Diploma category.
This achievement is not only about winning a title. It is also a story of perseverance, courage, and the ability of vocational students to stand out through academic excellence, innovative ideas, leadership, and meaningful contributions to society.
Pilmapres is one of the most prestigious competitions in Indonesian higher education. It evaluates students comprehensively, not only through academic performance, but also through outstanding achievements, organizational experience, communication skills, the quality of creative ideas, and real contributions to the community.
The Pilmapres selection process is carried out in stages. Students first go through selection at the study program, faculty, or university level. The best representatives from each higher education institution then proceed to the regional level, organized by the Higher Education Service Institute, or LLDIKTI. From this regional stage, selected participants have the opportunity to advance to the national level.
In the 2026 Region IX Pilmapres for the Diploma category, Nanda represented Hasanuddin University. She carried the name of the university while also reflecting the face of today’s vocational education: skilled, analytical, innovative, and closely connected to real issues in society.
As a Food Agribusiness student, Nanda studies in a field closely related to food systems, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. This field requires students not only to understand theory, but also to read challenges, develop solutions, and identify opportunities within the dynamics of the food and agribusiness sectors.
Nanda’s achievement proves that vocational students are not only prepared to master technical skills. They are also encouraged to think critically, respond to community needs, express ideas confidently, and create work that remains relevant to the changing times.
Behind this success lies a long process that is not always visible. There were portfolio preparations, idea development, presentation practices, mentoring sessions, and continuous support from lecturers, the study program, the faculty, family, and the academic community. This achievement was born from a process of patience, discipline, and consistency.
The Food Agribusiness Study Program of the Vocational Faculty at Hasanuddin University expressed its appreciation for Nanda’s accomplishment. Her achievement is expected to inspire other students to continue developing their potential, strengthening academic culture, and producing work that benefits society.
The Dean of the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Restu, M.P., said that this achievement is a source of pride for the faculty. According to him, it shows that vocational students have broad opportunities to grow and achieve excellence in various fields.
“This achievement is expected to motivate other students to continue developing their potential, strengthen academic culture, and produce work that benefits society,” he said.
Through this accomplishment, the Food Agribusiness Study Program of the Vocational Faculty at Hasanuddin University once again shows that vocational education is not only about work readiness. More than that, it is also a space for shaping young people who are ready to think, create, and make an impact.
