Goals

In general, the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Tourism Destinations aims to provide high-quality higher education in order to produce outstanding graduates in the field of tourism. In line with its mission, the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Tourism Destinations has established the objectives outlined in the following table.

1. To produce graduates who are professional and embody the MARITIM values (Humane, Wise, Religious, Integrity, Resilient, Innovative, Independent), and who are competent in the field of sustainable tourism based on local wisdom.

2. To develop relevant applied research and innovation in the field of sustainable tourism based on technology and local wisdom.

3. Fostering entrepreneurship in the tourism sector through the integration of digital technology and innovation, so that graduates are capable of becoming independent entrepreneurs.

4. Establishing strategic partnerships with the tourism industry, government, and educational institutions to strengthen the network and relevance of vocational education.

5. Delivering innovative and high-quality learning through project-based approaches, real-world problems, and the use of digital technology.

Objectives

In line with the vision, mission, and objectives outlined above, the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Tourism Destinations has established the following goals, as outlined in the table below.

1.     Achieving the target number of students graduating on time.

2.     Achieving the target number of graduates securing employment within six (6) months. Graduates are capable of holding strategic positions in the management of tourist destinations, travel, accommodation, and tourism events.

3.     The number of applied research projects conducted by faculty and students increases by 10% compared to the previous period.

4.     An increase in the number of scientific publications and innovative products related to sustainable tourism based on technology and local wisdom.

5.     The percentage of graduates who become entrepreneurs in the tourism sector reaches 15% within three years of graduation.

6.     Development of a tourism business incubator program with an increase in the number of technology- and local wisdom-based tourism startups.

7.     The number of strategic partnerships with industry, government, and educational institutions increases to 6 new partners per year.

8.     The implementation of internship, research, and community service programs in the tourism sector through collaboration with various stakeholders.

9.     The percentage of use of project-based learning (PBL) and problem-based learning (PBL) approaches reaches 70%.

10. Improvement in the quality of learning through the use of digital technology in every course.
