Vision and Mission

Vision of the Study Program

To Become a Center of Excellence in the Study of Indonesian Language, Literature, and Culture

The Indonesian Literature Study Program at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Hasanuddin, envisions the role of language, literature, and culture in the development of the maritime continent. This aligns closely with the University's institutional vision: “A Center of Excellence in the Development of Humanity, Science, Technology, Arts, and Culture Based on the Indonesian Maritime Continent.” The University's vision is also in harmony with the Faculty's vision: “A Center for the Study and Development of Superior Culture Based on the Indonesian Maritime Continent.”

Mission of the Study Program

To achieve its vision, the Indonesian Literature Study Program formulates the following missions:

  1. To provide professional education that produces graduates who are devoted to God Almighty, of high quality, and capable of keeping pace with developments in the fields of Indonesian language, literature, and culture;

  2. To develop research in the humanities that supports professional work in the areas of Indonesian linguistics, literature, and cultural studies;

  3. To carry out community service in the fields of language, literature, and culture through collaboration with various institutions at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
