The Informatics Engineering study program supports student success by assigning academic advisors from the teaching staff. Academic advisors provide academic guidance to students through meetings at least twice per semester. The list of support services provided by the study program, along with the responsible personnel or unit, is as follows:
Responsible for the evaluation and development of academic guidance.
Staff/lecturers who help students prepare their study plans and track their progress. They provide guidance on course selection from a career perspective. Students may consult them whenever they face academic difficulties.
A selected lecturer who provides guidance on choosing a research topic, preparing the final project, developing the thesis, processing data, and research methodology.
Facilitates the pre-scheduled learning process according to the assignments given by the head of the study program.

At the university level, lecturers and students can access the Unhas Central Library at Tamalanrea Campus, as well as online access via library.unhas.ac.id. e-Journal and e-book access are available, supported by 47 librarians.
Has a library in the JK-CSA Building at Gowa Campus, providing undergraduate theses, postgraduate theses, and journals from students and lecturers, accessible at digilib.eng.unhas.ac.id
A center for consulting and advising faculty students and affiliated students on university study procedures and other study-related questions. It provides information and methodological guidance on university scholarships and social scholarships, and offers training to improve students' soft skills and their ability to write research proposals.

Student activities usually carried out together with students from other study programs, such as sports unit activities, arts/cultural unit activities, social studies unit activities, as well as activities within the Unhas Student Executive Board (BEM).

The Universitas Hasanuddin Student Dormitory is located next to the Unhas Faculty of Engineering. It consists of 2 main buildings, each with 5 floors. This dormitory (Rusunawa) is arguably the most popular residence among students, especially those coming from outside the region. The rental fee per room is quite affordable, at IDR 350,000/month excluding electricity & water costs. For information and registration, prospective new residents can contact the building manager.
