Fields of Study: Urban History and Regional History

Dr. Ilham, S.S., M.Hum, earned his Bachelor’s degree (S1) in the Department of History, Faculty of Letters (Faculty of Cultural Sciences), Hasanuddin University, from 1994 to 2000. After completing his undergraduate studies, he continued his studies in the Graduate Program at Gadjah Mada University in the Master’s Program (S2) in History from 2003 to 2006, specializing in Urban History. Subsequently, he pursued a Doctoral (Ph.D.) program in the Humanities at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University, from 2012 to 2019, specializing in Historical Studies with a research focus on Urban History.

He is currently a lecturer/academic staff member in the Department of History, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, specializing in Urban History and Regional/Local History Studies. He has authored numerous books and contributed to academic journals, such as: SASDAYA: Gadjah Mada Journal of Humanities, Lensa Budaya: Journal of Cultural Studies, Journal of History, Citra Lekha History Journal, and others.
