The Statistics Department of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) demonstrated its commitment to supporting the Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) program by holding a workshop in collaboration with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of South Sulawesi Province. The event, held at the Unhas Statistics Corner, featured speakers from Unhas statistics lecturers and representatives from BPS.

This workshop provides a forum for students and participants to deepen their understanding of statistical concepts relevant to MBKM. The material presented covers various MKPK topics, such as communication and teamwork, internships, scientific literacy and presentations, talent development, activity management, innovation and design thinking, and digital communication.

Workshop participants were invited to participate in discussions and Q&A sessions to deepen their understanding of the material. The workshop also served as a platform for networking between students, lecturers, and practitioners from the South Sulawesi BPS.

The collaboration between the Unhas Department of Statistics and the South Sulawesi Statistics Agency (BPS) in this workshop not only strengthens the relationship between the university and government institutions but also makes a tangible contribution to supporting MBKM's vision of creating an independent and innovative learning environment for Indonesian students. Hopefully, this workshop will be the first step in encouraging the broader and more effective use of statistics in the context of education and community development.
