Unhas Disseminates New Regulations on Student Code of Ethics Violations

The Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Academic and Student Affairs Division held a socialization session on the latest regulations concerning violations of the student code of ethics, on Wednesday, 17 May 2023, at Baruga Prof. Dr. A. Amiruddin, Tamalanrea Campus.
This new regulation on the student code of ethics is set out in Hasanuddin University Rector Regulation Number 17/UN4.1/2023 concerning Procedures for Imposing Sanctions for Violations of the Hasanuddin University Student Code of Conduct. This regulation replaces Unhas Rector Regulation Number 16890/UN4/KP.49/2012 concerning the Unhas Student Code of Ethics.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs of Unhas, Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin MKes PhD SpBM(K), and the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Student Affairs of Unhas, Muhammad Irdam Ferdiansah SE MAcc PhD Ak CA. The regulation, stipulated on 2 May 2023, was socialized to faculty officials, faculty disciplinary commissions, and student organizations within Unhas, represented by institutional administrators.
In his presentation, Prof. Ruslin explained that the purpose of introducing this new regulation was to serve as a clearer and more transparent reference and guideline for student coaching. He emphasized that with this regulation, the rules become clearer, giving students guidance for their academic and institutional activities while avoiding perceptions of selective enforcement. Prof. Ruslin also noted that Unhas would prepare a complaint hotline to accommodate reports of issues occurring on campus. The session continued with a discussion of the contents of the new regulation delivered by the outreach team, Dr. Andi Bau Inggit SH MH, Fajlurrahman Jurdi SH MH, and Dr. Andi Syahwiah A Sapiddin SH MH, followed by a discussion and question-and-answer session with participants.
