The Biology Graduate Program Welcomes New Students
The Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, proudly welcomed the new graduate students (Master’s and Doctoral) of the Biology Program for the 2025/2026 academic year. The event took place on Monday, February 23, 2026, in the Biology Department Seminar Room. It was attended by the Department Chair, the Master’s Program Chair, the Doctoral Program Chair, faculty members, and the new Master’s and Doctoral students in Biology, who together created a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere during the event.
At the orientation event for new students in the Biology Graduate Program, the Chair of the Biology Department, Dr. Magdalena Litaay, M.Sc., extended a warm welcome to all new students and expressed her hope that they would take full advantage of this educational opportunity to develop their academic capabilities, scientific integrity, and make tangible contributions to the advancement of biological science. The Head of the Master’s Program in Biology, Dr. Juhriah, M.Si., emphasized the importance of a passion for learning, research collaboration, and academic discipline so that students can produce high-quality scientific work. Meanwhile, the Chair of the Biology Ph.D. Program, Prof. Dr. Rosana Agus, M.Si., encouraged students to develop critical thinking, foster research innovation, and strengthen academic networks so they can contribute to the advancement of science and the resolution of various environmental and biodiversity issues.
With the spirit of togetherness reflected in this welcome event for new graduate students in the Biology Program, it is hoped that the new students will feel the full support of the academic community and be motivated to develop their potential. The event concluded with a group photo session involving faculty members, staff, and Biology students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Hasanuddin University, symbolizing the unity and solidarity of the entire academic community.
