Unhas Master’s Program in Government Studies to Host International Scholar for Guest Lecture in 2027
Makassar — The Master’s Program in Government Studies at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) is set to host an international scholar, Siran Liang, PhD, for a guest lecture scheduled to take place in mid-2027.
This initiative reflects the program’s commitment to strengthening the academic environment while advancing the internationalization of knowledge, particularly in the areas of environmental governance and sustainable public policy.
Siran Liang is recognized as a researcher in environmental science with a specialization in environmental anthropology. In the upcoming guest lecture, she is expected to address themes closely related to Government Studies, particularly environmental governance, the dynamics of policy actors, and the challenges of implementing sustainability-oriented policies.
The Head of the Master’s Program in Government Studies at Unhas stated that the presence of an international scholar is expected to broaden students’ perspectives and foster more critical and comparative academic discussions, especially in understanding environmental governance practices within a global context.
Beyond serving as a platform for intellectual exchange, this event also represents a strategic effort to strengthen international academic networks and enhance the quality of higher education at Unhas.
