Hasanuddin University's Master's Program in Mathematics Successfully Holds Promotion at Mulawarman University

Samarinda – The Master's (S2) Study Program in Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), successfully held a promotion and academic socialization event at Mulawarman University (UNMUL) on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. This activity aimed to introduce the excellence of UNHAS's postgraduate program and attract UNMUL undergraduate students and alumni to pursue higher education.

The UNHAS delegation was led directly by the Head of the Master's Program in Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Nurdin, S.Si., M.Si. In his presentation, Prof. Nurdin highlighted the various advantages of the program, ranging from a curriculum that adapts to the latest developments in computation and data science, excellent research facilities, to various scholarship opportunities accessible to prospective students. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening collaborative mathematical research among universities in Indonesia, particularly in the central and eastern regions.

The socialization event was met with high enthusiasm by the UNMUL academic community. The Q&A session was interactive, covering topics from career prospects to the focus of existing research groups at UNHAS. Through this promotional activity, it is hoped that more outstanding graduates from East Kalimantan will contribute to the development of mathematics and its applications alongside UNHAS.
