The Halal Bi Halal Event Hosted by the Department of Biology, FMIPA, Unhas, Strengthens Bonds Among the FMIPA Faculty Community

The Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Hasanuddin University held a Halal Bi Halal gathering on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the Biology Department Meeting Room. This event served as an opportunity to strengthen bonds of friendship and foster a sense of family within the FMIPA community following the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H celebrations.


The event began with opening remarks from the Chair of the Department of Biology, who emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relationships as the foundation for building a harmonious, productive, and mutually supportive work environment. In his remarks, he encouraged the entire academic community to use the Eid al-Fitr celebration as an opportunity to strengthen brotherhood, enhance collaboration, and extend forgiveness to one another in order to foster a better work atmosphere.


Next, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Hasanuddin University delivered remarks, expressing appreciation for the Halal Bi Halal event as a platform for strengthening relationships among faculty members. He emphasized that the sense of togetherness and synergy fostered through such activities are vital assets in supporting the implementation of the three pillars of higher education and the future development of FMIPA at Hasanuddin University.

The highlight of the event was a Halal Bi Halal sermon delivered by Drs. Muhtadin A. Salam, M.Si., on the theme of “Silaturrahmi.” In his sermon, he explained that silaturrahmi is not only a teaching that holds religious value but also plays a crucial role in fostering social harmony, strengthening brotherhood, and cultivating mutual respect and care among fellow human beings. The messages shared inspired all participants to continue nurturing good relationships in both their personal lives and work environments.

The event took place in a warm, solemn, and communal atmosphere. It was attended by faculty members and staff from the Department of Biology, as well as faculty members and staff from various departments within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Hasanuddin University. The presence of the academic community across departments further enlivened the event and reflected the close-knit, family-like bonds within the faculty.

The atmosphere grew even warmer as all participants shook hands and exchanged apologies as a manifestation of the values of Eid al-Fitr. This moment served as a symbol of togetherness and unity that strengthened the bonds among faculty members and educational staff from various departments within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
Through this Halal Bi Halal event, the Department of Biology hopes that the spirit of fellowship, togetherness, and kinship that has been fostered can continue to be maintained and strengthened. This event is not only an annual post-Eid al-Fitr tradition but also a means of strengthening synergy and collaboration in support of the advancement of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Hasanuddin University.
