Physics Study Program at Hasanuddin University Obtains International ASIIN Accreditation

The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Hasanuddin University has achieved a significant milestone at the international level. The Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Physics Study Program at Hasanuddin University has officially obtained international accreditation from ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics).

ASIIN is an international accreditation agency based in Germany, which is authorized to accredit study programs in the fields of engineering, informatics, natural sciences, and mathematics. ASIIN accreditation is widely recognized in Europe and internationally, with a strong emphasis on curriculum quality, learning outcomes, and the preparedness of graduates for global professional environments.

The accreditation is valid from 28 June 2024 until 30 September 2029, as stated in the ASIIN Accreditation Certificate. This achievement signifies international recognition of the quality of education delivered by the Physics Study Program at Hasanuddin University.

According to the certificate, the Physics Study Program is offered as a full-time programme and is aligned with Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF LLL), which corresponds to the Bachelor of Science level.

The attainment of ASIIN accreditation reflects that the curriculum, teaching and learning processes, and graduate competencies of the Physics Study Program meet internationally accepted standards. With this accreditation, graduates of the Physics Study Program at Hasanuddin University are expected to be increasingly competitive and well prepared to pursue further studies and professional careers at the global level.
