Hasanuddin University’s Department of History Successfully Holds Work Meeting Focused on Innovation and Academic Synergy
The Department of History, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Hasanuddin University held its 2026 Annual Work Meeting (Raker) at Beba Beach, Takalar Regency. This annual event serves as an important moment to evaluate the achievements of previous programs while formulating the department’s strategic direction for future development.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of History, Dr. Muslimin A.R. Effendy, M.A., and the Department Secretary, Fajar Sidiq Limola, S.S., M.Hum. All faculty members of the Department of History were also present, including Dr. Suriadi Mappangara, M.Hum., Dr. H. Bahar Akkase Teng, Lc.P., M.Hum., Dr. Nahdia Nur, M.Hum., Dr. Ida Liana Tanjung, M.Hum., Dr. Ilham, S.S., M.Hum., Dr. Amrullah Amir, M.A., Drs. Dias Pradadimara, M.S., Abd. Rasyid Rahman, M.Ag., and Nasihin, S.S., M.A.
Also in attendance were the Head of Secretariat, Udjji Usman, S.Sos., supporting staff member Wildan Hafatta Yahfitu Zahra, S.Hum., M.A., as well as student representatives Nurfaida, Fadlan, and Mirva Tahul Khair.
Through this work meeting, various strategic work programs were formulated. All programs were designed to strengthen the achievements of previous leadership while focusing on improving academic quality, enhancing research activities, and developing student engagement.
One of the flagship programs to be implemented next year is “Cultural Heritage in Motion,” an initiative centered on community-based cultural heritage preservation and development. This program is expected to become a platform for collaboration between lecturers and students in conducting innovative and high-impact research and community service activities.
The Head of the Department of History, Dr. Muslimin A.R. Effendy, M.A., emphasized that the department’s future programs will focus on sustainability and innovation.
“The Department of History will continue the programs that have proven effective in the previous period while encouraging new initiatives relevant to student needs and current developments. We are also committed to strengthening synergy among lecturers to create a solid and productive academic environment,” stated Muslimin.
Through this work meeting, the Department of History, FIB Hasanuddin University, reaffirms its commitment to continuous innovation and strengthening its contribution in education, research, and community service. The Department is also determined to enhance its role as a center for historical and cultural studies that remains adaptive to social dynamics and scientific development.
