Public Lecture on “Methodology of Writing Women’s History” by Dr. Mutiah Amini at the Department of History, Universitas Hasanuddin

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the Department of History at Universitas Hasanuddin successfully held a public lecture themed “Methodology of Writing Women’s History.” The event featured Dr. Mutiah Amini, M.Hum., a lecturer from the Department of History, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, as the main speaker.

The lecture took place at the Arsjad Rasjid Lecture Theater on the 8th floor and was met with great enthusiasm from students and faculty. In her presentation, Dr. Mutiah explored in depth the methodology of writing history that places women as the subject of study, highlighting the importance of gender perspectives in historiography and how such research can enrich a more inclusive understanding of history.

The discussion session was interactive, with several questions and comments from participants, reflecting strong interest in this seldom-explored topic. This public lecture is expected to inspire and enrich the academic community of the Department of History to continue developing studies on women's history across various contexts.
