Departemen Sastra Jepang FIB Unhas Susun Portofolio Mata Kuliah untuk Pengukuran Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan Japanese Literature Department of FIB Unhas Conducts Course Portfolio Development for Graduate Learning Outcomes Assessment
Makassar - The Department of Japanese Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Hasanuddin University, conducted a Course Portfolio Development activity as part of its Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLO) assessment process On Saturday, February 14, 2026. The activity brought together faculty members and academic administrators to strengthen quality assurance practices and support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
The initiative was designed to evaluate the alignment between course implementation, assessment methods, and the graduate learning outcomes established by the study program. Through the development of course portfolios, each course was reviewed to determine its contribution to the achievement of the competencies expected of graduates.
Hadi Hidayat, S.S., M.Hum., Chair of the Organizing Committee, emphasized the importance of course portfolios as a tool for measuring and documenting learning achievement. “Course portfolios serve as an essential instrument for mapping how each course contributes to the attainment of graduate learning outcomes. Through this process, we can evaluate the effectiveness of our teaching practices in a more systematic and measurable manner,” he stated.
He further explained that the results of the portfolio development process would provide valuable data for future curriculum evaluation and enhancement. According to Hadi, evidence-based assessment enables academic units to identify strengths as well as areas that require further improvement. “Data-driven evaluation is crucial for making informed academic decisions. The findings from these portfolios will support continuous curriculum development and help ensure that learning strategies remain relevant and effective,” he added.
Through this activity, the Department of Japanese Literature aims to strengthen its culture of academic quality and ensure that graduates possess competencies aligned with both academic standards and professional demands. The course portfolio development process is also expected to contribute to accreditation efforts and the ongoing enhancement of educational quality within the department.
