French Literature Department Welcomes 2026 New Students

The Department of French Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Hasanuddin, held its new student welcome program on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The event marked the first step for the 2026 cohort to become familiar with campus life and prepare for university studies.

New students received an introduction to the campus, covering the academic structure, available facilities, and the university's overall system of study. The session was designed to help students adjust more quickly to academic life within FIB.

Alongside the campus orientation, students were also introduced to MKPK (Mata Kuliah Penguatan Kompetensi, or Competency Strengthening Courses), a Universitas Hasanuddin program in which learning activities can take place outside the study program and/or outside the university, carrying a load of 20 credits for non-health disciplines. Introducing it early was meant to give students a clearer picture of how the mechanism works and how it strengthens their competencies for the world of work.
