Makassar — The French Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), held an Introduction to French Literature session for high school students as part of its efforts to promote cultural literacy and broaden students’ understanding of global literary traditions.
The activity was attended by students from various schools who showed great enthusiasm in exploring the richness of French literature, including its common characteristics, major genres, and historical development. The material was presented in an engaging manner, highlighting key themes found in French literary works and their relevance to contemporary life.
In addition to the main presentation, the session featured interactive components such as discussions, short reading segments, and a quiz designed to encourage student participation. This approach aimed to help students see literature not merely as written text, but as a medium for expressing human values, social critique, and cultural reflection.
