Undergraduate Architecture Study Program Profile

The Undergraduate Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, was established on September 10, 1963, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture dated September 10, 1963. The Unhas Undergraduate Architecture Study Program holds an "EXCELLENT" (UNGGUL) accreditation from BAN-PT, which is valid until June 18, 2026. The study program also held the international AUN-QA certification from December 29, 2018, which was valid until December 28, 2023. In accordance with the study program nomenclature issued by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) on December 5, 2017, regarding the adjustment of study program names, the name "Architectural Engineering" (Teknik Arsitektur) was changed to "Architecture" (Arsitektur). Throughout its journey, the Unhas Undergraduate Architecture Study Program consistently evaluates and adjusts its curriculum based on scientific and technological developments, as well as the needs of its users.

In 2021, the study program revised its curriculum based on previous iterations: the 2016 Curriculum, which implemented the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the National Standards for Higher Education (SNPT); and the 2011 and 2005 Curricula, which implemented the Student-Centered Learning (SCL) approach for nine academic years, starting from 2007/2008 up to 2015/2016. Following a review and evaluation of the 2016 Curriculum—which was based on KKNI, SNPT, SCL, and the implementation of Laboratory-Based Education (LBE) introduced in the 2016/2017 academic year—the Undergraduate Architecture Study Program, alongside other study programs within the Faculty of Engineering, revised and drafted a new curriculum in 2021 through a transitional process. This resulted in the implementation of the 2021 Curriculum, which is based on the Emancipated Learning Independent Campus (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka/MBKM) program.
