Tujuan PSTE FT UNHAS adalah sebagai berikut:
- Tersedianya sumber daya manusia di bidang elektro yang memiliki kemampuan berkompetensi mendapatkan lapangan pekerjaan ataupun menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan secara mandiri dan kreatif
- Terciptanya suasana akademik yang mendukung peningkatan pengetahuan di bidang teknik energi, kontrol, komputer, elektronika, telekomunikasi dan informasi berlandaskan Benua Maritim Indonesia
- Terwujudnya komitmen tanggung jawab sosial universitas dalam rangka pemberdayaan masyarakat dan penyelesaian masalah yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat
- Terciptanya relevansi yang kuat antara proses pendidikan, penelitian, pengembangan keilmuan dan kebutuhan masyarakat
- Terciptanya kualitas dan profesionalisme sumber daya manusia dalam pengelolaan program studi dan pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi
The objectives of the PSTE at the Faculty of Engineering, UNHAS, are as follows:
- To produce human resources in the field of electrical engineering who are competent to secure employment or create jobs independently and creatively
- To foster an academic environment that supports the advancement of knowledge in the fields of energy engineering, control systems, computer science, electronics, telecommunications, and information technology, grounded in the concept of the Indonesian Maritime Continent
- To realize the university’s commitment to social responsibility in the context of community empowerment and addressing the challenges faced by the community
- To establish a strong connection between the educational process, research, academic development, and the needs of the community
- To foster quality and professionalism in human resources for the management of academic programs and the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education
