Meeting with Parents of the 2026 New Students of the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program
The Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin, held a Meeting with Parents of the 2026 New Students as part of its efforts to strengthen communication and collaboration between the program and parents in supporting students throughout their academic journey. The event was attended by 53 parents/guardians, 7 lecturers, and 5 administrative staff members.
For the 2026 academic year, the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program welcomed a total of 107 new students. The meeting served as an important opportunity for the program to introduce parents to the academic environment, learning system, student development programs, and various forms of support that parents can provide throughout their children's university education.
The presentation was delivered by Dr.Eng. Ir. Asiyanthi T. Lando, S.T., M.T., Secretary of the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin. The presentation provided information on the academic environment, learning processes, and various student development programs available to students throughout their studies in the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program.
The parents demonstrated great enthusiasm throughout the presentation and discussion sessions. Their enthusiasm was particularly evident during the discussion on the international internship program, which attracted considerable attention from the parents. Several parents actively raised questions regarding the program's mechanism, available opportunities, requirements, and the support provided to students participating in the program.
The international internship program received particular attention from the parents, reflecting their strong interest in opportunities that can provide students with international exposure and practical experience. Such opportunities are expected to contribute to the development of students' competencies and prepare them for their future academic and professional careers.
In addition to the presentation and discussion sessions, the event also featured the signing of the Student Integrity Pact by students together with their parents/guardians. The signing served as a shared commitment among students, parents, and the program to uphold integrity and responsibility throughout the students' academic journey, while also contributing to the creation of a positive and supportive academic environment.
Through this meeting, the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program hopes to strengthen communication and collaboration with parents and establish a strong partnership in supporting the development of the 2026 cohort. This synergy is expected to provide optimal support for new students as they adapt to university life, develop their potential, and pursue achievements throughout their studies at the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program, Universitas Hasanuddin.
