VAOSE #4 Goes to Malaysia: Expanding Academic Experience and International Networking
Selayar Islands — The Marine and Coastal Aquaculture (BDLP) Study Program at the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University is once again offering students the opportunity to broaden their academic experience and international networks through the Aquaculture Outbound and Student Exchange (AOSF) #7 and Vocational Aquaculture Outbound and Student Exchange (VAOSE) #4 programs
These activities will take place in Malaysia from November 17 to 28, 2026, in collaboration with two partner universities: Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT)
The AOSF and VAOSE programs serve as platforms for students to gain learning experiences within an international academic environment. Through these activities, students are expected to gain firsthand insight into the education systems and university environments in Malaysia, particularly those related to vocational studies and aquaculture
Beyond expanding academic horizons, the program offers students the chance to interact and network with peers and academics from the partner universities in Malaysia. This experience is intended to equip students with the skills to enhance their competence and adaptability, while broadening their perspective on the increasingly globalized landscape of education and the workforce
The implementation of VAOSE #4 in Malaysia is also part of an effort to enrich student learning experiences through activities outside the classroom. Through the exchange of experiences and culture, students not only acquire academic knowledge but also gain insight into the culture and daily life of the host country
Guided by the spirit of "Learn Beyond the Classroom, Connect Beyond Borders, Experience Aquaculture Internationally," the program aims to provide valuable experiences for students while strengthening collaborative ties and international networks among the participating higher education institutions
Through AOSF #7 and VAOSE #4, students are expected to return with new knowledge, experiences, and insights that can be applied to their studies and professional development in the field of aquaculture.
