Vocational Faculty students and alumni of Hasanuddin University join an overseas job opportunities socialization

Makassar, June 11, 2026 – Students from the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Marine and Coastal Aquaculture (BDLP) at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University, along with students from other study programs and alumni, participated in the Socialization of Overseas Job Opportunities organized by the Migrant Service Center (MSC) of , Hasanuddin University in collaboration with PT. Hadin Pro Manpower. The event was held at the Scientific Meeting Building (GPI) of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, , Hasanuddin University on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

This activity was attended by BDLP students and students from the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University in semesters 4, 6, and 8, as well as alumni. The socialization was held as an effort to provide information and understanding to participants about job opportunities abroad through official channels and in accordance with applicable regulations.

The socialization material was presented by Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes. In his presentation, participants received information about overseas job opportunities, recruitment mechanisms, the requirements needed, as well as the stages that prospective Indonesian migrant workers must go through. In addition, participants were also given the chance to discuss and consult directly about the available job opportunities.

During the event, participants showed high enthusiasm by actively participating in the presentation and question & answer session. This activity is expected to give a clearer picture of international career opportunities and improve students' and alumni's readiness for the working world.

The Dean of the Vocational Faculty at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ida Leida Maria, SKM., M.KM., M.Sc.PH, said that socialization activities like this are very important for vocational students and alumni.

"This activity is really needed to boost the career opportunities of vocational alumni internationally in a safe way," said Prof. Ida Leida Maria, SKM., M.KM., M.Sc.PH.

Through this socialization activity, the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University continues to strive to expand access to information and career opportunities for students and alumni, while also supporting the development of graduates who are ready to compete in both the national and international job markets.
