Erasmus Training Center Explores Collaboration with the Tourism Destinations Program

The Erasmus Training Center is collaborating with the Tourism Destination Studies Program to improve Dutch language proficiency in the tourism sector.
The Erasmus Training Centre, a Dutch training institution based in Jakarta, visited the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University (Unhas). The purpose of the visit was to explore collaboration with the Tourism Destination Studies Program, particularly regarding the improvement of Dutch language proficiency in the tourism sector. Mr. Fons van Oosterhout, Director of the Erasmus Training Centre, expressed his delight and enthusiasm for establishing a partnership with the Tourism Destination Studies Program during a meeting held at the Unhas Vocational Faculty Lounge. Moving forward, the Erasmus Training Centre will seek out potential partners among tourism education institutions in the Netherlands or Belgium to collaborate with the Tourism Destination Studies Program at the Unhas Vocational Faculty. This collaboration is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of rural tourism destinations in the region. In addition to Mr. Fons, the meeting was also attended by Ms. Ana from the Erasmus Training Centre in Surabaya, as well as Mr. Adil Nurimba from PT. Sulawesi Travel, which is one of the industry partners of the Tourism Destination Studies Program. From the Vocational Faculty, in attendance were the Associate Dean for Planning and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. Zainuddin, M.Sc., the Chair of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Enhancement Task Force, Dr. Agustina Abdullah, the Head of the Tourism Destinations Study Program, Dr. Yadi Mulyadi, and a lecturer in the Tourism Destinations Study Program, Ms. Aeni Nahdiyati, M.A. The follow-up to this meeting is the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), which will serve as the legal basis for cooperation between the Erasmus Training Centre and the Tourism Destinations Study Program at the Vocational Faculty of Unhas.
