Creative Synergy: Vocational Digital Communication Program Partners with BPPMPV KPTK to Strengthen Audiovisual Production and Game Development

GOWA – The Applied Bachelor’s Program (D-4) in Digital Communication at the Faculty of Vocational Studies demonstrates its commitment to aligning its curriculum with industry standards. This is evidenced by a strategic step taken through a Coordination Meeting and Exploration of Cooperation held with the team from the Center for Development and Quality Assurance of Vocational Education in Marine Affairs, Fisheries, Information and Communication Technology (BPPMPV KPTK) in Gowa on Monday, April 27, 2026.

This meeting marked the starting point of an intensive collaboration focused on the development of audio-visual production and game development. During the discussion, both parties agreed to implement a dual system learning model (campus-industry integration) to address the challenges of limited human resources in supervising production processes, which have been experienced by higher education institutions.

The Head of the Digital Communication Study Program, Vinanda Cinta Cendekia Putri, attended the meeting directly along with the team of Digital Communication lecturers. The main focus of this collaboration will cover various creative fields, ranging from sound design and dubbing in audio production, the creation of creative video content, to the development of podcasts and games.

As a concrete step, the collaboration will begin with a Training of Trainers (ToT) program for lecturers. This initiative aims to ensure that lecturers possess adequate industry-standard competencies before providing direct guidance to students in the following year. In addition to training, future agendas include the signing of MoU/PKS agreements as well as the implementation of workshops involving both university students and partner vocational high schools.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to immediately develop a more structured activity roadmap. With mentorship support from industry practitioners, graduates of the Digital Communication Program at the Faculty of Vocational Studies are expected to be globally competitive, equipped with portfolios that align with current labor market demands.
