Head of Digital Communication Study Program at Unhas Vocational Faculty Participates in International AI Training in China

Makassar – The Head of the Digital Communication Study Program at the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University, Vinanda Cinta Cendekia Putri, participated in the international training program Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Transformation held at Suzhou Industrial Park Institute of Vocational Technology (SIPIVT), Suzhou, China, from 14 June to 10 July 2026.

During the program, Vinanda joined the Vocational Faculty delegation alongside Hermasyah Prasyad from the Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (PJ-SIG) Study Program and Irwansyah from the Extractive Metallurgy Technology Study Program. The three delegates took part in the Training of Trainers (TOT) program, a collaborative initiative between the Governments of Indonesia and China aimed at strengthening the capacity of vocational educators in the era of digital transformation.

Throughout the training, participants explored various AI technologies, including computer vision, machine learning, and real-world AI applications through visits to leading technology companies in China. The knowledge and experience gained are expected to support curriculum enhancement and improve the quality of teaching within their respective study programs.

The Dean of the Vocational Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Restu, MP, stated that the participation of faculty members in this program represents a strategic effort to strengthen academic capacity while supporting the development of a curriculum that is responsive to technological advancements and industry needs.
