Unhas Vocational Faculty Sends Students to Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, China, for Further Study

The Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) has officially sent off four students from the Metallurgy Technology Study Program to participate in a student exchange program at Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, China. The send-off ceremony was led by the Dean of the Unhas Vocational Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Restu, MP, at the Tamalanrea Campus on Thursday (April 17, 2025).

The four fourth-semester students scheduled to depart on April 26, 2025, are Marwan Anugrah, Edgar Fernanda Tandigau, Moh. Rafly Rusdi, and Daniel Andrel Yoenai Tasusane Mangeka. Also present at the event were the Head of the Metallurgy Technology Study Program, Human Eddy Prabowo, ST., MT, and the accompanying lecturer, Dr. Rahmania Rahman, A.Md., ST., MT.

The students' departure represents a tangible implementation of the international partnership between Unhas and Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute. Vocational Faculty Dean Prof. Restu stated that this golden opportunity is expected to enhance the students' experience and technical insights in the field of metallurgy technology.

According to Prof. Restu, this exchange program aligns perfectly with the vocational curriculum, which emphasizes practical competence and field-based practice over mere classroom theory. "This opportunity to study abroad is expected to contribute significantly to the students' international exposure. It is a highly valuable experience," he emphasized.
