Faculty of Vocational Studies Strengthens Collaboration with Alumni, Engages Industry Practitioners to Enhance Student Learning

The Faculty of Vocational Studies has established a partnership with Anugrah Tri Ananda, S.Tr.Pt., an alumnus of the Animal Production Technology Study Program who operates a broiler farming business using a closed-house system. This collaboration aims to strengthen practice-based learning while providing students with direct exposure to the livestock industry.
The signing of the cooperation agreement marks a concrete step by the Faculty of Vocational Studies toward expanding its partnerships with businesses and industry, particularly in the livestock sector. Through this partnership, Anugrah's broiler farming facility will serve as one of the field-based learning environments for students of the Animal Production Technology Study Program.
In addition to providing an industry-based learning environment, Anugrah Tri Ananda will also be involved as an industry practitioner lecturer. His involvement is expected to enrich the learning process by sharing professional experience, technical knowledge, and practical insights into the management of modern broiler farming operations.
The involvement of industry practitioners in teaching plays an important role in bridging the gap between higher education and workforce demands. Students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also gain firsthand experience in various aspects of poultry farm operations, including husbandry management, environmental control in poultry houses, feeding practices, animal health management, and production and business operations.
Through these learning opportunities, students are expected to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the livestock industry. Practical insights shared by industry professionals are also expected to provide students with a clearer understanding of the competencies required to enter the workforce or establish their own businesses.
This collaboration also highlights the strategic role of alumni in supporting the continuous improvement of vocational education. Alumni are not only a reflection of an institution's success but can also contribute directly to educational activities by sharing their professional experience, expertise, and business facilities.
The Faculty of Vocational Studies hopes that this partnership will serve as a sustainable initiative to strengthen collaboration among higher education institutions, alumni, and industry. Accordingly, learning activities within the Animal Production Technology Study Program are expected to become increasingly practical, aligned with industry developments, and capable of producing competent, professional graduates who are well-prepared to meet workforce demands.
Through collaboration with alumni and the involvement of industry practitioners, the Faculty of Vocational Studies remains committed to promoting educational experiences that integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world practices, ultimately producing highly skilled, competitive graduates who are ready to succeed in the professional world.
