FIB Unhas Formulates Strategic Plan and Roadmap at Work Meeting
GOWA – The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) held a strategic work meeting in Malino, Gowa Regency, on Saturday–Sunday, October 18–19, 2025. The event carried the theme: “Rooted in local wisdom, adaptive to change, and globally relevant.”
The meeting brought together faculty leaders, senate members, professors, and representatives from various departments within FIB Unhas. Its main agenda was to review and finalize three key documents: the strategic plan (Renstra), the annual work program (Proker), and the faculty roadmap, prior to their official adoption.
Wahyuddin, Vice Dean III of FIB Unhas and Chair of the organizing committee, explained that the sessions would run intensively throughout the day. “We hope today’s activities will be highly productive. Discussions will be held in commissions to ensure more focused and comprehensive outcomes,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Muh Darwis, Chair of the FIB Unhas Senate, emphasized the importance of active participation from all attendees in enriching the strategic documents.
“We are gathered here to unify our spirit and ensure the success of our work programs. These documents represent major initiatives that must be implemented over the coming year. Achieving success means Unhas stands united and strong,” he affirmed.
In his opening remarks, FIB Unhas Dean Prof. Andi Muhammad Akhmar stated that the meeting served as a pivotal moment to reaffirm the faculty’s developmental direction.
“Everything we discuss today will have a significant impact on the future of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. The draft documents are the result of our formulation team’s efforts and continue the legacy of previous leadership programs. We aim to maintain that continuity,” he explained.
This work meeting served as both a reflective forum and a strategic planning platform, ensuring that FIB Unhas remains grounded in local cultural values while staying responsive to contemporary changes and relevant in a global context. (*)
