Four Heads and Secretaries of Departments at FIB Unhas Officially Replaced, Indonesian Literature Now Led by Muslimat Succeeding Prof Munira
MAKASSAR — The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) officially held a handover ceremony for four Department Heads and Secretaries on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The event was attended by the Dean of FIB Unhas, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, M.Hum.
The leadership transition involved four departments: Indonesian Literature, English Literature, French Literature, and Regional Literature. The new and outgoing officials are as follows:
- Indonesian Literature Department Head: Dr. Hj. Muslimat, M.Hum Secretary: Dr. Hj. Indar, M.Hum Replacing: Prof. Dr. Hj. Munira Hasjim, S.S., M.Hum and Rismayanti, S.S., M.Hum
- English Literature Department Head: Dr. Siti Syahraeni, S.S., M.AppLing Secretary: Andi Inayah, S.S., M.Hum Replacing: Prof. Dr. Nasmilah, M.Hum and Dr. St. Syahraeni, M.AppLing
- Regional Literature Department Head: Prof. Dr. Mukhlis Hadrawi, M.Hum Secretary: Dr. Sumarlin Rengko, S.S., M.Hum Replacing: Prof. Dr. Gusnawati, M.Hum and Pammuda, S.S., M.Hum
- French Literature Department Head: Dr. Andi Faisal, S.H., M.Hum Secretary: Masdiana, S.S., M.Hum Replacing: Dr. Prasuri Kuswarini, S.S., M.Hum and Masdiana, S.S., M.Hum
In his remarks, Prof. Andi Muhammad Akhmar expressed appreciation for the dedication of the outgoing officials and extended congratulations to the newly appointed ones. He emphasized the importance of maintaining academic quality and enhancing the faculty’s competitiveness.
“The Rector consistently asks deans about the implementation of lectures. That’s why I personally monitor classroom activities every morning,” he stated.
Under Prof. Akhmar’s leadership, which began just a few months ago, FIB Unhas is also preparing to hold its Faculty Work Meeting on October 10–11, 2025. The main agenda includes discussions on the Strategic Plan (Renstra), the 2025–2026 work program, and long-term research initiatives through 2030. (*/)
