Indonesian Literature Sweeps Poetry and Monologue Awards at FIB Unhas 2025 Arts Festival

MAKASSAR — The Indonesian Literature Program at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) delivered a stellar performance at the 2025 Arts Festival (Pentas Seni, or Pensi) hosted by the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB). The program claimed six awards across two prestigious categories: poetry and monologue.

Their dominance was unmistakable in the poetry category, with all winners hailing from the Indonesian Literature program: Zalza Nur Fadillah HS, Itrha Febrianta, and Ayulmin Nur Annisa. In the monologue category, the program continued its winning streak through standout performances by Feranandayani, Ayulmin Nur Annisa, and Nayla Maulidya.

Pensi FIB Unhas 2025 was held in two sessions: monologue on October 24 and the main event on October 27. This annual celebration featured competitions in ten artistic categories, including pop solo, regional solo, regional language speech, social campaign video, vocal group, graphic design, and photography.
Festival Chair Alung expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of participants and the dedication of the organizing team. “Out of 250 registrants, 151 finalists were selected. This year’s ten competitions span seven artistic branches, reflecting a rise in both participation and quality,” he said.

Rezki Ramadhani, Student Affairs Manager at FIB Unhas, emphasized that Pensi is more than just a competition—it’s a strategic platform for institutional development and talent cultivation. “We aim to propel these talents toward higher-level events such as Peksimida and Peksiminas 2026,” he affirmed.

Ilham, Vice Dean I of FIB Unhas, attended the final performances and highlighted student enthusiasm as a vital asset for campus arts development. “FIB students’ talent is truly commendable. This is not just an arts showcase—it’s also part of our Dies Natalis and new student orientation celebrations,” he remarked.
