The ceremony was led by Unhas Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., and attended by university leadership, the Board of Trustees, the Academic Senate, and families of the newly appointed officials.
In his remarks, Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa emphasized the significance of the inauguration as part of a healthy organizational dynamic. He praised the orderly and purposeful transition process, reflecting the maturity of governance and a productive work culture.
“Today marks the beginning of a new journey to contribute more broadly. Newly appointed officials must foster communication, build synergy, and learn from their predecessors to ensure program continuity,” said Prof. JJ.
He also highlighted that the dedication of previous officeholders serves as a strong foundation for future progress. The inauguration moment is expected to reinforce a shared commitment to cultivating an academic culture that is collaborative and responsive to strategic national issues.
To the professors receiving their official decrees, Prof. JJ urged them to continue nurturing a culture of scientific excellence as a moral and academic responsibility. “A professor is not merely the highest functional rank, but a guardian of scholarly integrity and a provider of solutions to the nation’s challenges,” he concluded.
