The Archaeology Study Programme at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (FIB Unhas), continues to strengthen its commitment to applying scientific knowledge for the benefit of the community through an extensive network of partnerships. In carrying out Community Service (PKM) activities, the programme has established strategic collaborations with government agencies, such as the Cultural Preservation Centres across Indonesia, which serve as key partners in the preservation, protection and public education regarding cultural heritage sites in the Sulawesi region, as well as Regional Cultural Offices and museums for regional cultural programmes and studies on the development of local museums such as the Nekara Museum. In the non-governmental and community empowerment sectors, close cooperation has been established with Flora and Fauna International (FFI) Maros in supporting culture- and environment-based tourism, the Bumi Toala Foundation in initiatives to preserve cultural heritage and the natural environment, the Culturin ID Community for digital cultural literacy and youth engagement, and the National Archaeology network to strengthen applied research and public education. Equally important, the involvement of the private sector helps to complement the partnership ecosystem through financial support, programme sustainability and the development of local creative economic potential, such as Wallacea Heritage Indonesia. All of this synergy is ultimately directed towards local governments and local communities, who act as direct partners and beneficiaries in the development of tourism villages and the utilisation of archaeological potential for the common good.
