Scientific Writing Competition Activities at the Biology Department Level, FMIPA Unhas

This activity was held in the Seminar Room of the Department of Biology on Sunday, May 19, 2024. This activity was opened directly by Mrs. Andi Evi Erviani, S.Si., M.Sc. as the Secretary of the Department representing the Head of the Department of Biology, FMIPA, Hasanuddin University.

Biology Event (BE) as one of the work programs organized by the Biology Student Association (HIMBIO) in collaboration with the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, held a scientific paper competition with the theme "Working for the Earth: Environmentally Friendly Innovation Towards Sustainable Living".

The Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) was attended by participants from Biology students consisting of 10 teams. Dr. Nur Haedar, M.Si. as the head of the jury team accompanied by Dr. Helmy Widyastuti, M.Si. and Andi Evi Erviani, S.Si., M.Sc. as team members assessed the scientific papers to assess several aspects, such as the accuracy of the theme, writing structure, and presentation of each participant.

All teams that submitted their scientific papers then prepared a PowerPoint presentation (PPT) containing the scientific work material and presented it to the jury and the event committee. The assessment was divided into two parts: the scientific paper manuscript and the presentation. The winner of the Scientific Paper Competition was the participant with the highest score across all assessment aspects determined by the committee and jury.

The LKTI activity was closed with the announcement and presentation of prizes to the winners and a group photo with the Jury Team from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University.
