Objectives and Target
The objective of the Hasanuddin University Actuarial Science Undergraduate Program is to produce Actuarial Science graduates who are active, creative, highly competitive, and adaptable to the times with the following characteristics:
- God-fearing, open-minded, and responsive to developments in science and technology.
- Mastery and ability to develop scientific principles in thinking, reasoning, attitude, and action as scientists in the field of Actuarial Science and its applications.
- Ability to solve problems, develop, and apply Actuarial Science related to risk management, investment, and various other financial issues.
- Possess the ability to manage research activities and publish them, contribute to the development of science and technology, and increase public knowledge regarding financial risk.
- Produce graduates who have the ability to face changes and challenges that continue to evolve in the field of actuarial science and are able to adapt to technological changes, industry needs, and global trends in actuarial science.
The objectives and strategies for achieving the Actuarial Science Study Program are formulated in accordance with the objectives and performance indicators of Hasanuddin University and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. In addition to the main indicators, additional objectives and strategies are also formulated that are required by the Study Program in the next five years and are not yet included in the main indicators. To facilitate measurement, the objectives and strategies for achievement are developed and measured annually during the 4-5 year curriculum period.
