Actuarial Science Program Service
The Actuarial Science Study Program of the Mathematics Department at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held a Community Service activity at the Wajo Regency Agricultural Office, South Sulawesi, on November 23, 2024. This activity was part of the Unhas Actuarial Science Study Program's efforts to apply the knowledge they have acquired in a broader context and make a positive contribution to society.
The event was attended by a number of lecturers and students from the Actuarial Science Study Program, as well as officials from the Wajo Regency Agricultural Office. On this occasion, the community service team presented material related to the application of actuarial methods in agricultural risk management. The focus of this activity was to provide farmers and related parties with an understanding of how to manage the risks faced in the agricultural sector, including climate change, natural disasters, and price fluctuations
