Internship Introduction Workshop at the Regional Finance and Asset Agency (BAKD) of South Sulawesi Province
The Actuarial Science Study Program at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) visited the Regional Finance and Asset Agency (BAKD) of South Sulawesi Province on December 13, 2024. This visit was part of efforts to improve the value of Key Performance Indicators (IKU), particularly in the field of Independent Internships, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the academic world and the government sector.
The delegation, consisting of lecturers and students from the Actuarial Science Study Program at Unhas, was warmly welcomed by the BAKD of South Sulawesi Province. During the meeting, the Unhas team explained the purpose of the visit, which was to explore the possibility of organizing an internship program that could provide practical experience for students in the fields of regional financial management, asset management, and the application of actuarial science in the government sector.
The South Sulawesi Provincial BAKD responded positively to this initiative and expressed their readiness to establish further partnerships with Unhas. Several topics discussed at this meeting included the role of actuarial science in regional financial risk management, budget preparation and financial planning, as well as regional asset management related to sustainability and public financial transparency.
