UNHAS Actuarial Science Student, Afni Nur Nahdhiyah, Wins 2nd Place in International Sharia Business Plan Competition
Makassar – A student from Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) has once again achieved a proud accomplishment on the international stage. Afni Nur Nahdhiyah, a student from the Actuarial Science program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), has successfully won 2nd place in the "Sharia Creative Business Plan International Competition".
This prestigious competition was organized by the Islamic Economics Study Program Student Association (HMP EKSYAR) and the Islamic Economics Study Group (KSEI) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Jember (UNEJ), as part of the Jember Islamic Economy Festival (JIEF) 2025 event series. Carrying the theme "Strengthening Islamic Economy through Youth Synergy", the competition aimed to foster innovation and synergy from the younger generation in strengthening the Islamic economy.
Afni's success is a source of pride not only for herself but also for her alma mater, especially the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at UNHAS. This achievement proves that students from scientific fields like Actuarial Science can also be highly competitive in the realm of business and sharia economics.
