MASTER'S PROGRAM IN OCEAN ENGINEERING - UNIVERSITAS HASANUDDIN
The Master's Program in Ocean Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin aims to advance high-quality, innovative, and globally competitive graduate education in ocean science and engineering, grounded in the Indonesian Maritime Continent.
The program is directed toward developing competent, professional, ethical, and adaptable graduates; improving the quality of research, innovation, and community engagement; strengthening collaboration with government, industry, and academic institutions; and establishing sustainable governance and quality assurance.
To support these goals, the program pursues seven priority areas for development.

Strengthening the Scientific Vision and Program Identity
Promoting the understanding and implementation of the scientific vision in alignment with the Vision, Mission, Goals, and Strategies of Universitas Hasanuddin and the Faculty of Engineering, particularly sustainable ocean engineering grounded in the Indonesian Maritime Continent. |

Improving Governance and Collaboration
Strengthening effective, transparent, and accountable governance while expanding collaboration with government bodies, higher education institutions, research organizations, professional associations, and industry nationally and internationally. |

Improving Education, Research, and Community Engagement
Enhancing Outcome-Based Education (OBE), involving practitioners and experts, and strengthening collaborative research and community engagement that respond to the needs of coastal communities and maritime industries. |

Developing Human Resource Quality
Improving the competencies, scholarly productivity, recognition, and professionalism of academic and administrative staff through collaborative research, publication, training, certification, and academic networks. |

Strengthening Facilities, Infrastructure, and Safety
Improving learning facilities, laboratories, engineering software, and occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices in academic and research activities. |

Enhancing Student Quality and Graduate Competencies
Broadening the recruitment of qualified students and strengthening analytical capability, engineering technology proficiency, scientific communication, publication skills, academic English, and professional competencies. |

Strengthening Continuous Quality Assurance
Enhancing the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), the PPEPP cycle, internal quality audits, monitoring and evaluation, follow-up actions, and integrated quality documentation. | |
